Aloe Vera Powder

Return to Discussions

I've been using Aloe Vera Gel instead of Distilled Water in my soap recipes. I bought a gallon of it and it's now gone. Ordered some Aloe Vera Powder and will use that from now on. Not sure what proportions to use. I'm going to try 50:1 Distilled Water to Aloe Vera Powder and see how that works.

If you have experience using Aloe Vera Powder, let me know how you use it.

RE:Aloe Vera Powder

The powder I bought was 100x whole leaf powder.

It's a dark greenish brown. And to make matters worse, I calculated the amount of powder to use based on the amount of oils -- not the amount of liquid.

The soap came out a very dark greenish brown.

RE:Aloe Vera Powder

Bought some 200x Aloe Vera powder -- not whole leaf -- just the internal gel.

Very pale light green.

About 0.30 g is enough for 200 g of oils -- based on about 60 g of liquid.

Would like to try beer powder.
