RE:october visit

I've been to Faywood in October and it was pretty nice. Warm, not hot during the day, cool at night. The cool at night is ideal for hot springs. Of course you might run into some cold weather but it will be worth the chance. Hope you enjoy yourself.

Newbie here and just noticed your post. I was at Faywood Hot Springs less than 2 weeks ago and the day's high was 82deg F, a bit cooler than normal. The following day's high was 92F. Sunburns come easy at this altitude-bring sunscreen. You might want to Google 'historical weather Faywood, NM' to get a better sense of what weather to expect. Spoiler alert: usclimatedata.com suggests that October's average daily high is 75F, average low is 44F, and average precipitation is 1.2 inches for the month.

I stayed on the clothing optional side and there was only one other couple camping when I was there. There were others in the CO soaking pools that were staying in the clothing required side, mostly in the evening. Most went sans clothing, but not all. The grounds are rustic, but certainly adequate. There are showers and flush toilets in the clothing required area; 2 vault toilets in the clothing optional area. There are casitas available to rent, in both the clothing optional and clothing required sections. Make sure you bring what you need as I think the nearest town with groceries is 20 + minutes away. I found both the management and clientele to be remarkably friendly and engaging.

Have a wonderful trip and let me know if you have any questions.

RE:october visit

I'm going there next weekend, got the clothing option cabin. Can't wait to spend the days and nights soaking and relaxing. I've been once before, but this will be the first time that I'll be able to check out the other clothing optional pool that's closer to the clothing required camp ground.
