How is the sand at Playa Linda?

Return to Discussions

My wife has artificial hip and knees and the soft sand at Apollo Beach is really soft and hard for her to walk on. We have been thinking of trying Playa Linda. How is the sand down there?

Playalinda sand is going to be the same as Apollo I'm afraid. Two different names for two stretches of the same beach. Walk south from Apollo and you'll be on Playalinda without noticing a difference. Same sand. The wet sand near the water is hard and the dry sand away from the water is ... uh.... well, sandy. You might find spots with sand of a different consistency but you'd probably find the same type spots on Apollo as well.
Can your wife ride a bike? She might try riding a fat tired bike near the waterline where the sand is hard.
