We are a group of mostly retired RVers who move to the desert from the north for 5-6 months per year. We have about 75 acres of posted, clothing-optional desert on BLM land. We are located at La Posa South in the long-term visitor area, All TNS members are welcome.

or can we camp elsewhere, with full hook ups, and come to participate in the activities?

Yes you can certainly camp somewhere else with full hookups and visit the Magic Circle area for the day. It's a wide open desert area where you can just come in and park where you want, then sun bathe or hike nude in the Magic Circle area. Folks you run into while out and about in this area will be quite friendly, especially if you are nude.. :) There is a real nice nude hiking trail that they have developed in the area, west of the main tent. But, you should definitely try camping off grid in this area if you can. There is water and trash/sewer dump facilities up front where you come in...so it's pretty easy to camp off grid for several days or longer. We just run up to the facilities every 5 days or so with our motorhome to fill the water and dump. If you have a tow vehicle it's even better as you don't need to move the RV at all. It's just certainly worth it to camp off grid and not have to wear clothes like you will at the off site full hook up resort. Just takes a bit of planning and the right equipment...
