Spent a day at White Thorn Lodge again Saturday.
Several things going on, many of which I was unaware when I arrived.
Got an early start. Rode the Ironhead ( see my photos ) an hour and 45 one
way to get there. Good ride, but a little chilly at speed that early.
Attended the "discussion on the patio" about noon. Met some OK people,
and chatted about nothing really. Gas mileage, why it's all about politics and
not anything "real" and nonsense like that. Something to do when you're naked !
Attended, watched and some minor participation, the "Red Neck Olympics" that day.
Didn't win but did participate in the road-kill toss. Watched the "Nascar" naked car race.
( a walking body paint thing, mostly, with pit crews, checking their "oil" and such )
Watched the fence-jumping contest. Now, considering that the "fences" were about 10
inches high, some of the "jumps" were quite creative.
Watched the spitting contest. One cute little red head ( about my age ) got serious about it.
You could tell, when she kicked off her shoes. Since that was the ONLY thing she could
take off, we KNEW she was serious ! Didn't win, but watching the women in the spitting
contest was fun ! Her husband was the guy with the gun, over-alls, coon skin hat, and the
not-so-little little brown jug, with some real "shine" in it.
I didn't stay for the cigarrett butt flicking contest, but did return in time for the end of the
frozen T-shirt contest. One hot woman won that one. :) ( now, how did he mean "hot" ? )
The baked potato pot-luck in the evening, followed by the bon-fire, was worth staying for.
I guess I found out "what to do when you're naked" !!
Asked Virginia ( a naked woman ) what DOES one say to a naked woman ? ( I never saw the
movie, but it seemed appropriately amusing at the time ) Left her somewhat perplexed, I'm happy to say !
I must have done something right, as one of her single friends did look me up the next day. That story
remains to unfold, but will likely not be told here ! Some things, a gentleman keeps to himself.
Being a single guy, that's ALWAYS flattering !
Nice ride back home late in the evening.
