Magic Circle Update...

I came across this forum an noticed nothing really in here information wise. That said I thought I would bring you all up to date.

From my reply on another thread:
HI, just returned from the M/C. Great Place to spend the winters. It was my second winter there an spend about 95% of my time living in the buff. Great group of people... as long as you don't act weird. So I will say aside from going to town an water runs etc, I wear nothing 24/7 as do many. That said the BLM has just opened up (annexed) more land for us; there is now close to 500 ( I think actually ~450)acres designated as clothing optional with clearly marked Boundaries for all to see. That said it is Public land so anyone can use the area. There is a large tent that has heaters and table and chairs etc as a public meeting area. We have Dances every Friday night that also brings folks out from town too.... some strip an some don't; it's all good; everyone has fun. Also we have Karaoke nights, pot lucks etc. We built a beautiful almost 4 mile hiking trail through the area this past January. All That said currently, since there is no restroom per say, if you are tent camping or do not have a toilet they require you to stay outside the MC at the designated Tent area..... several do that but spend all day into the evenings at the MC. BLM did state because of the growing popularity of Naturism that is why the land increase and are going to put in Pit toilets (we'll see), so as to allow those who do not have large RV's the option of staying in the M/C boundaries.

NOT SURE. I do know beginning Sept 15th thru April 15 (the high use season) it is $180 for the whole season, which allows use of trash, RV Dump and fresh Water. They also have a 2 week stay fee of $40. at any given time from end of October to Mid March average folks in the M/C is 150 to 200 people Jan-Feb up to 400 in the Circle. This does not count the ones who park just outside the Boundary.. I mean right up to the markers..these are the folks that I, for a lack of a better word I call "Porch Nudists" . they lay outside in front of their RV's in the buff and tan up; they stay to themselves an don't do much socializing. That said some do show up for the Dance nights. There are the regulars who live in town or close by whom come out for the day put out a chair or cot by the auto and just work on their all over tans.

OK, just pulled this from the web site. "FEES / PERMITS REQUIRED: A Long Term Visitor Area Permit is required from September 15th through April 15th each season. The cost is $180.00 and is valid for up to 7 months. A Short Term Permit can be purchased for a 14-day stay. This permit is $40.00. Permits may be purchased on site or at the BLM Yuma Field Office.

From April 16th through September 14th, the fee is $10 per vehicle for day-use, $15 per vehicle for overnight use, or $75 annually per vehicle, for up to 5 people per vehicle. There will be a $1 per person fee charged for each person over the 5 person limit. The maximum stay is 14 days in a 28-day period. Visitors must pay daily fees or purchase annual permits at the La Posa South Contact Station or at the BLM Yuma Field Office.

LIMITATIONS: In addition to existing rules and regulations, there are thirty three supplemental rules which are used to help manage the campgrounds. These rules are published each season in brochure format."

YOU Can drive there an pay $10 for a day or $15 to overnight.

The "s" should not be in there. It should be only http but the s keeps popping back in when I post it. Not sure what is going on. Maybe the site is not secure?

RE:Magic Circle Update...

Is there a recent update on Magic Circle? Should be in full swing by now. I was there for a weekend last mid April. It seemed very quiet and little nudity even in the nudist area. Was mid April too late in the season?
Any recent knowledge or reports would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
