It's now a bad idea to post photos to groups here

I hate to say this, but under the "improved" site, posting photos in groups is very unwise.

I can no longer get to any photos I've posted here, if they're past the first six. That means, I can't even remove them.
What's more, I can't get past the first six even in groups I started. So if someone in one of those groups asks me to remove their photos (because they can no longer get to them), I can't do it!

This is absolutely abominable and shameful. I had a friend; it was very important for her to extricate herself from this group and all similar groups, completely. Now, overnight, they've made such a move impossible--without paying them for permission.

I just uploaded one to the group to demonstrate that I don't see it that way. But I don't mind anyone seeing my photos, so no risk. Also the costs of running the website have to be covered somehow. If it isn't to be funded through advertising (Please no!) then members are the only funding. I'm a paid-up life member. And I'm pleased that there is some reward for the payment.

The fact that there was no obvious heads-up that TN were going to prevent people from viewing photographic contributions that they had posted themselves simply underlines to me that they don't give a **** about users, its all money, money, money.

I've said elsewhere that I'd considered paying to join but there have always been so many bugs in the old site I'd not done so. If I buy a product that is faulty I can take it back, but that didn't seem to be the case with TN so I held off. This new set up can't be convincing many who look at the whole deal to pay either.

On some pages I notice there is box near the bottom right which says:
Want your ad here?
Contact us today!

So it looks as though advertising is on its way!
