Im 19 and my family are all nudists. I recently brought my friend Vicky from university home to meet my family. I told her that my family were nudists and that we would all be nude when she came home (but made it clear to her that she would not have to be nude) I was a bit taken aback by the fact that when she came back she seemed to show way too much enthusiasm and wanted to be naked with us all straight away.  This has never happened before,all other friends i`ve brought home chose to stay clothed.
what does anyone think of this and whats your experiences of introducing your non-nudist friends to our nudey lives

I think its great. Many times people are nudist or want to be and are terrified of expressing that reality. When they discover someone else is a nudist, that frees them to be themselves.

I`ve met a few people like that. Some people are actually quite interested in nudism but they`ve never really had the opportunity before. Once you give them a place where they can experience it they jump right in. These people tend to be rare, in my experience, but not unheard of.

I have a friend from work that knew I was a nudist.  The first time he came over I was dressed and we visited for quite some time.  The second time he came over he called me to see if I needed anything from the store before he came over.  As we ended our conversation, he told me that he wanted me to feel comfortable in my own home and would not bother him if I were nude.  About an hour into his visit he went into the kitchen to grab a beer and when he returned he was nude also.  From that point on, everytime he came over the first thing he shed was his clothes.  He stated he had started being nude at his own place all the time.  That was 3 years ago and he has visited me here at the resort several times since I moved.  Another co-worker of mine has also visited me here at the resort on a few occasions and he too has taken very well to the nudist lifestyle. I retired from a liberal arts college and the atmosphere in such places is alway more accepting of alternative lifestyles.  Oh yeah, even the Chaplain at the college has a nude picture of her husband hanging in her office.  Most of the people I worked with knew I was a nudist and some even told me on occasion that they envied my freedom.
 
I was introduced to social nudism through a high school friend.  We hung out all the time and he would come over to my house regularly.  I guess he felt guilty for never inviting me to his house but one day said he would invite me but told me he and his family were nudists.  I said, "Mike, I`m a nudist too!"  It was his family that took me to my first nudist resort for a weekend camping trip.  That resort wound up being the first one I joined.  It was 1963.

I think that once folks have decided they would like to try social nudism have a tendency to "dive right in" given the opportunity...

That`s a great experience to share.  There are many out there that have thought, or have at least wanted to try going nude.  Those that have thought this, when presented with an opportunity, tend to jump right in and try it.  Once they have, they find out what the liberation and freedom of being nude is all about.  There are countless stories simular to this out there.  It`s a matter of how it`s presented to the textiled guest, and doing so prior to facing a family of nude people, as well as the trust that makes the difference.  We`ve been in situatations and know of others who have been in the same situation of finding themselves clothed in a nude environment who have felt `out of place`, `like they`re being stared at because they are different,` which naturally offers the opportunity to be free to be nude.  Good for you, good for your friend, and good for nudism.  Don`t think that there`s anything wrong with what happened, you merely provided the opportunity to someone to be set free from textiles.

It is great! Congratulations to Vicky! Seems like she is a girl who is comfortable in her body and has an open mind to try different things. Don`t knock it! Here is a great gal pal for you! We did introduce several friends of ours and almost all of them loved it.

I think most people have a desire to try nudism, but are halted by self-esteem issues and fear of condemnation by others. When faced with an opportunity to try in a safe environment, they take the plunge.

When I asked my (at the time)

fiancée
if we could go to a resort with a nude beach for our honney moon, she replied she had always wanted to try nude, but she never had the chance.   Had I not suggested a nude beach, we never would have gotten the chance to try nudism.  Unfortunately she doesn`t enjoy nudism as much as I do, but she is still willing to join me occasionally. 
Bottom line, give people an opportunity to try nudism and they might find that they like it!  Unfortunately is might be difficult to find those opportunities.

I think this indicates that more folks are nudists than we might sometimes think, or are at least open to the idea of social nudity. occasionally when I`ve tole friends that I`m a nudist, their spontanious response has been something like "neat, I`ve always wanted to try that. ." Sounds like you have a neat friend there.

Like everyone elase has said it looks like she`s just very enthusiastic and supportive. No hidden motives. She must really enjoy it and can`t enjoy nudity anywhere else. You`ve found a great companion for the beach or club.
