I know Rock Legde here NJ is 145 arces and Cap D`Adge in France is very large also. What place do you know of that are quite large for legal nudity?

Practically the entire state of Vermont. As far as I know, the State doesn`t have any anti-nudity law. Individual towns may.  In the City of Burlington, for instance, it`s against the law to UNDRESS in public, a slight technecality though is that, if you`re already nude,  you`re OK. Burlington`s Naked Bike Ride in the Spring is well attended.
Also, until recently, the City of San Francisco. In 2004 a State Appellate Court ruled that it`s not criminal to be nude in public there. From what I`ve heard, though, the City recently banned nudity in public places. I don`t know how this will affect events such as Bare to Breakers, though.
I`ve also read about certain cities in Europe. Barcelona, as an example, has a law saying its alright to wear whatever you want in public. I`ve read of folks who take that quite literally and choose to wear nothing. All of these examples are really stretching your point, though.
In terms of places where the entire population is nude, I`d be interested in hearing others` comments. There are several nudist clubs in the Western States that have large tracts of land, around 360 acres, such as Lake Bronson Associates and Kaniksu Ranch, both in Washington State.

My favorite place, Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis, is big, 109  acres, it is not uncommon to have several hundred people there on a nice summer weekend.

Rooster Rock State Park, in Oregon, is another such place. Hundreds of folks there, too. Not sure, though, about the size, it stretches for quite a ways along the Columbia River, outside Portland. Nudity is completely legal, signs posted say that nude sunbathers might be encountered on the east beaches. Maybe some Oregonians on the site might know the acreage? Oregon, by the way, is another wonderfully liberal state as regards nudity.

You live in NJ.  Gunnison Beach in Sandy Hook may not be the largest nude beach, but it is up there.

In terms of numbers, too, I think Blacks Beach in San Diego might be a winner, at least in the US. I livedand worked in SD for a while in the late 1970`s. At the time, nude beach activists, seeking legalization, were claiming it as San Diego`s biggest tourist attraction. A lot of folks from LA, about two hours away, were coming to Blacks (they still do). Many stay the weekend and contribute to San Diego`s economy in terms of motel rooms and restaurants. I was there again about two years ago on a business trip, didn`t get to Blacks, but travel brochures in my hotel room had it listed as one of the city`s places to visit. We`ve come a long way as far as recognition! When I lived there weekend crowds might have numbered in the thousands, i don`t have any official figures, though.
Another popular place is Wreck Beach, in Vancouver BC. Wreck Beach is to Vancouver what Blacks is to San Diego, with many nudists on  weekends. Vancouver is a wonderful liberal city, too, surrounded by incredibly spectacular scenery.
I haven`t been to Gunnison or some of the beaches in Florida such as Haulover, I wonder if anyone has any statistics on numbers for some of the places that have been mentioned.

Ok, so we`re wondering if you started this thread for conversation, curiousity, to find places for you to go or what?  If this thread is for curiousity, it`s a great idea.  If it was started so you could find places to go, then you need to step right outside your back door.  LOL.
 
Gunnison Beach, at Sandy Hook National Park, the largest designated nude beach on the east coast, is in NEW JERSEY and designated as a clothing optional beach, TWO miles long and averaging about 5000 beach goers on a good weekend day is a great place to go.  Keep in mind that Haulover Beach in FLA is only about a half mile long and sports about 7,000 people on a good weekend.  Also, Lighthouse beach on Fire Island in NY averages about 60,000 nude bathers each season (not aware of the acerage but must be large enough to accomondate these numbers) is right around the corner from you.  Considering the limited nude season in the northeast, these numbers are not only impressive, but are downright phenominal!

I`m fond of White Thorn Lodge.
Over 200 acres in western Pa. Just outside Youngstown, Ohio in Darlington, Pa.
Their "Superbowl of Volleyball" is THE big event, but there`s something practically every weekend in season.

If we`re talking strictly acreage, it would have to be Oaklake Trails in the Depew, Oklahoma area with 400+ acres. 

Doing what I can to positively promote nudism.
