Animal Rescue: Please Help.

There is a website called www.theanimalrescuesite.com. It has numerous sponsors that donate food for animals everytime you click on the purple box saying "Click Here It's Free To Give". It's a free site .

My fiance and I run a great dane rescue. With the economy in such bad shape people are letting these gentle giants fall to the way side on a regular basis. They are sweet animals and despite the fact that they are as big as a horse, they all think that they are lap dogs. If you know of any danes in shelters or in need of fostering please contact me. Danes do not do well in shelters, they litterally die without human interaction.

RE: Great Danes

Just took in another albino dane. Something in their genetics makes the majority of albino ones also blind and deaf. Sweetest dogs on earth. I dont understand how anyone could turn out a dog that can not fend for itself in the least. Makes me absolutely sick.

We have now fostered a total of 23 dogs to date. 11 of them have been adopted out and one is going thru its third surgery today. When we got her, someone had cut off about 4 inches of her tail and left it exposed. She had recently given birth and has had complications due to an infected uterus. Poor girl is having a rough time but she is one of the most loving, gentle dogs I have ever seen. Its always great to see one go from the brink of death to being a happy, playful dog who just wants to enjoy every day.

RE: Great Danes

Well we just had one turned over to us from Jonesboro Ark. She was given to us because she was believed to be pregnant. Turns out it was a tumor the size of my fist. At least now she will be spayed, microchipped and vetted. Then, someone will come along who will be a perfect fit for her.
