Belongil Beach

For those of us who enjoy the freedom that we enjoy on Belongil Beach

Uneasy going here.

Return to Discussions

I used to love going here, but recently as I have become more aware of my surroundings, I have discovered how bad this beach is, just off greys lane is the worst. I usually go to the very southern entrance near the creek.Every time I go, no matter rain or shine, there are guys everywhere, just waiting, watching. Sitting in their cars, standing around looking like they are busy. Just last week I went to the little lake on the way into Greys lane, and was the only one there, except for 4 or 5 cars with old guys sitting in them. After 5 minutes, a guy started following me around the track. I veered towards an open spot and sat down, and he stood in the bushes, clothed, behind me, and just waited, everytime I looked at him, he was staring at me. This literally happens every time I go. I have gotten past the point of being nice. It's because of shit like this that I can't bring my female friends who do want to come with me, because I know there will be creeps lingering the entire time.I have stopped going down to this beach altogether because of this. There is a beach just past pottsville called Wooyung. I go every weekend, and most of the time, am the only one on the entire beach. So much better.Let's discuss how we can start to deter these creeps.I usually stare at them while they are attempting to "hide" in the bushes until they move on. They think they are being sneaky. Next time I am just going to approach one of them and ask what they are doing clothed, standing in the bushes for 10+ minutes behind me.

Unfortunately it had that impact in my wife who no longer wants to go there. The irony is the beach south f greys lane is a legal co beach. The same cannot be said for the tea tree lakes. So personally I give them a mss these days. Regards the beach, the best today is a mobile phone enabling us to take a picture of their car incl rego which does generally have the effect try of putting them on notice. irt is those wierdos who are not naturists themselves who add to the challenges of getting approval for legal co beach.

Yeah I suppose there isn't much else to do. I can't be bothered waiting and following them to their car. That's why I have started looking for alternatives to these areas.

My wife and I enjoy the lake to rinse off after the beach. The creeps do annoy me as well - recently one sitting on the edge of he lake with a mobile phone. I took watch while my wife went in for a dip. It discourages the ladies haVing these deadbeats around. At the beach we (mostly) just sit with the crowd and enjoy what is our favourite beach!!

I do go to wooyung a bit, its great down there. I have been using the creek end of belongil for my nude beach days now, and have not had any weirdos around. I think I can finally start taking a female or two there without them being creeped out.

My wife and i usually stay around a short walk from the carpark. There is always a few people there who we usually say "hi" or wave to. Still keeping our distance to give them their space. There is always a few "walkers" up and down the beach. whether they be exercising, or being exhibitionists or even gay guys on the lookout. It always feels safe near other people, and I certainly am not that "young" anymore. I do agree that the people (usually younger males), sitting in their cars are a bit of a worry. It wouldn't take very long to steal a car.... Imagine...son, could you pick us up please our car has been stolen...where? at the nude beach....upon arrival....""jeeses dad, mum, put some clothes on ,when are you two going to grow up?""...........cheers xxx
