Could Be Nude 24/7

Anyone who would be conformable being completely nude 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. If you would be comfortable nude doing everyday things like working, driving, shopping, going to the bank, every day activities. I know I would if it was socially acceptable.

A NUDE county in America

Return to Discussions

I've often wondered how to get nudist to pool together and buy all the land in a small county somewhere in America. Elect all nudist to government. Pass a cloth option for all. Where no one could be charged for nudity ...rather anyone complaining could and would be fined.
You could travel from small town to small town with in the county naked and free. Evey that wanted to naked at work could be. Teacher and students alike. Churches, town hall ..out you getting the idea. Each road coming into the county would be posted Cloth Optional county enter at your own risk, or something to that effect. I know I would enjoy living naked and free for life.
Cheers stay naked my friends,
David

RE:A NUDE county in America

Californias indecent exposure law at the state level requires that the offender be nude AND lewd. So nudity in and of itself is not illegal under California state law. Counties and cities may have tighter definitions or laws but many dont. That doesnt mean they cant cite for disturbing the peace etc. So I believe (I am not a lawyer) that your county could be in California. You just might want a law against lewd acts in public and define what that means.

You just might want a law against lewd acts in public and define what that means.
The UK common law offence of outraging public decency as defined by case law might be a good model - see the Department of Public Prosecutions guidelines for offences involving nudity. Not that this offence does not necessarily involve nudity but can be perpetrated fully clothed.
This is a very tight definition and the DPP goudelines state:
The requirement for the behaviour to 'outrage' public decency was said by Lord Simon in Knuller (Publishing, Printing and promotions) Ltd v DPP to: "go considerably beyond the susceptibilities of, or even shocking, reasonable people".
and the College of Policing guidelines on public nudity state:
The common law offence of outraging public decency applies when a persons behaviour is so lewd, obscene or disgusting as to shock a reasonable person. This has a high threshold in law that simple public nudity would not reach.
