Social Conventions Associated With Pubic Hair
Return to DiscussionsThe debates seem to go back before my Granny's time and are still around today; overspill, bikini line and so on. The strictures mainly affect women, men are expected to be hairy and nobody bothers about it.
Let's have a discussion - if you have a full bush, do you trim it when you go to a textile beach or swimming pool? If you do, is it because your are concerned about what other people may think, or because you don't want to be seen with overspill?

as a man with a very big bush that's far spread to my thighs I am proud of it. I can understand why some women would want to trim etc so it doesn't poke out of a swimsuit. for men its different I suppose although I know a lot of guys who trim or shave their pubic and other body hair. for me its natural and also sexy. I like that it is visible. and am more happy naked so all my body hair is on show to all. it seems to be a never ending debate with nudists, but for me natural is the way to go for both men and women. be proud of your hair!
When I first got to know about gee-strings I thought they were incredibly sexy and I really wanted to wear one to find out what it felt
like. The problem was that there seemed to be no way I could get one - things are far different these days. My only solution was to make one. I was quite good at sewing, but getting it to fit the way I wanted took a great number of attempts. The first versions were way too big and were very loose and baggy, and I couldn't quite believe how much I had to trim the pattern down to get the look I wanted - minimum coverage and a very tight fit so that everything would be straining to get out.
Me wearing my home-made gee-string
The photo shows the dilemma which hit me when I tried it on. My granny had always been concerned about what might be showing at the edge of my swimming costume; if she had been faced with that sight I think she would have had an immediate cardiac arrest. It took me a little way to think my own way around the issues, and I reasoned that if I were somewhere where it was OK just to wear that, then it would also be OK to wear it au naturel, so to speak.
It hadn't escaped my attention that my sole incredibly flimsy item of clothing made my pubic hair much more the centre of attention than if I had been completely nude; I had arrived at one of the fundamental tenets of eroticism.
Although I was very proud of what I had made and the way I looked in it, the practicalities of wearing took quite a bit of getting used to!

Well, I like your personally made G-string and I for one would be the first to tell you... stay natural. Your photo is extremely sexy and definitely hot!!! Promise us you will never let a razor or trimmer touch that gorgeous bush!!!
Love your story, Pamela! I had a similar experience when young. Had read about Il du'Levant, how le minimum was required as cover up in some places. I tried making a g-string too, used tissues and string. Needless to say it didn't hold up very well! After that I utilized a handkerchief instead of tissues, which worked out a little better. As to wearing them now I'd rather not have to contend with that string running up my butt crack.. .. Lucas
............ and what you do with the string
............ and who is looking
............ I could go on, but maybe a picture would stir the imagination about the possibilities:
My gee-string ribbon, only partially covering and so taut it is pressing in. making me really aware of where it is, something the photographers hadn't missed either
Maybe you hadn't thought of doing that with your gee-string? Being more serious, I think it is a sexist issue - this time in favour of women.
