Thanksgiving week

Return to Discussions

I'm thinking about trying to talk my wife into heading to HH the week on Thanksgiving. Her kids will be with their Dad so we are alone for the week. She's never been socially nude and I've only been to HH twice during the summer.

Has anyone been there so late in the year? Would this be a good time to go? I would think that if the temperature was nice and it wasn't too windy then the weather would be perfect for her (she hates the heat), but I'm afraid that the water would be too cold to swim.

I'd also be afraid that the place would be empty the whole time (maybe good or bad depending on how adventurous she feels).

Thoughts?

Day wasnt the best at first..light rain cloudy but no breeze at all. By noon it no more rain and partly sunny by mid afternoon. Park is open till dusk to about 7 closes. There was maybe at most 10 peeps there at one time, mostly single guys but a few m/f couples. This time of year it can be a hit and miss with weather but if your into nudity, the weather is a minor consideration unless it's storms in area. The temp was 75 and the water seem warm compared to the air temp, so there were a few swimming. Planing on returning first sat in December. Been there in January and Feb in previous years and same..nice weather. Every time it's has shown cloudy/rain..it's rained but cleared up nicely later in day. It was nice to swim in the light rain..The water level is the highest it's been this year so there is only one stone level to lay on, besides the dirt/stone path way found at end of stairs. But with few going at this time of year, you find more privacy and less of those 'lookie lookers' that you find during the summer and it been more crowded.
