Return to DiscussionsI love midweek in the woods. It was 84F and sunny! I hiked a mile out with a 35 pound pack in training for the Colorado Trail this summer. I dropped the pack, grabbed my key fob and took off my shorts. I hiked another 3 miles out and back without seeing anyone. I saw 20+ deer, a raccoon, and an owl. My huarache sandals held up well, but I could have gone barefoot. When I got back to my pack, I left my shorts off and hiked back to my car. Still nobody around. Then drove home nude. A perfect adventure.
