Thanks for setting this up. Signed.
Hope you don't mind, but I've also put a message on the Alexandra Bay location's forum to tell people to come here for the link, and on the Brisbane nudists group and the guys who visit A Bay group. We need to spread the word however possible. I was amazed to read in the Sunshine Coast Daily onlinethat there had been a protest organised at A Bay to push for legalisation (with hardly anyone turning up), but I hadn't seen anything on any of the groups here to advertise it.

come on people, we need to get this out there and get these signatures that are required, we live in a state that has no shortage of sand, and some of the best beaches in the world and a climate to suit. Why should we sit back and be deprived of the legal use of a small portion of sand in the way we would like? it's not like we are asking to walk the streets naked.but unless we stand up and make our voices heard nothing will ever change

a reminder about court decisions.
On 28 April 2008, Magistrate Barry Barrett was about to deliver his final verdict in a case relating to action taken by two police who claim to have been offended by a nudist at Third Bay Coolum.
But before Barrett handed down his ruling, he had one more thing to add, saying he could not leave this case without raising one final question."Is this a state," he asked, "that on the one hand, allows nudity in large numbers on some beaches? For example, Alexandria Bay, Noosa, and, in particular, the so-called Nude Olympics?
Does this state allow that to go unchallenged by police intervention yet, on the other hand, seeks out elderly nude males, partially concealed by vegetation on semi-secluded beaches-for example, Third Bay, Coolum-and lays charges against those individuals for alleged criminal conduct?
If the answer is 'yes', and I feel it is, this Court shall not be party to suchPATENTvictimisation and double standards."The charges were dismissed. Senior Constable Chad McAlister was ordered to pay $2000 inCOSTSwithin two months.

Numbers growing, but please ask as many as you know to add their names to the petition as this is important.
