"Once you go vegan, everything changes. Until you go vegan, nothing changes." -Francione

Thousands of millions of animals are bred, and are slaughtered, every year, for the demand going on for their products. It is not a natural scale. Most of us were told that animals whose products we use had a happy life and were killed humanely, and we believed it, when we were young, or else stopped eating meat. But that is said with no verification.

There is research showing how animals are treated in animal industry. It is so bad most find it too hard to watch. "Humane treatment" is propaganda for having customers continue buying meat and paying a bit more, where there is nothing really more humane, and just token differences. Because who choosing "humane" meat really look into that?

I am vegan for over eight and a half years, and know that I will remain vegan as long as I have power to choose. With having just food from plants I am really healthier this way, with more energy, not using processed foods either.
