About Budleigh Salterton

Welcome to the Bare Essentials at Budleigh Salterton!

Oh, Budleigh Salterton, where the cliffs blush red and the naturists let it all hang out! This quaint pebble beach nestled in the heart of East Devon is not just a haven for pebbles but a paradise for nudists and naturists alike. Known for its serene atmosphere and picturesque views, Budleigh Salterton has long been a favorite for those who prefer their beach days clothing-optional.

While the beach is unofficially recognized as a spot for naturists, it's wise to keep an eye out for signs and local customs. The locals have embraced the FKK (Freikörperkultur) spirit, fostering a respectful and liberating environment to enjoy nature in its purest form. Don't expect beach bars or sunbeds here; it's all about simplicity and connection with the natural world.

Historically, this spot has dodged the mainstream radar, which might explain why it's maintained its charm and discretion. So, if you're seeking a place to strip down to your birthday suit without the fanfare, Budleigh Salterton might just be your next favorite nude beach.

Remember, whether you're a seasoned naturist or a curious newbie, Budleigh Salterton's open pebbles await. Just be sure to pack your sunscreen – because that's all you'll need!
