Whites Beach Directions

Drive to Piha Beach and follow the road North to Piha North Beach, here you will find a public car park, toilet block and changing rooms. Enter North Piha Beach via the sand walk way immediately past the toilet block. Once on the beach turn right and walk for 10 to 15 minutes to the end of North Piha Beach once your round a cluster of rocks on your right look for the sign nestled at the foot of the trees which leads to a track. This track will is sign posted and will take you over a sadle to Whites Beach. The descent to white's beach is challanging and is recommended for experienced hikers/trampers so good shoes with grip are a must. Jandals, Thongs, Sandels, Slips on are not ideal for descending down to Whites Beach.

On the descent the council have provided guide ropes fixed into the side of the track to aid in your descent to Whites Beach.

Once down the bottom you can easily walk around the rocks/sand to Whites Beach.

This becomes very difficult at high tide so always go and hour before and leave and hour after the high tides.

This is a un-patrolled surf beach with dangerous currents and rips. If you choose to have a swim only go in waist deep at the most.
