About
Muir Beach is named for pioneering environmentalist John Muir. Nearby is the Pelican Inn, a quaint English-style pub. Complaints from nearby homeowners prompted 23 arrests in 2000-2001. As of early 2003, it appears that the complaining parties have moved away, and law enforcement has abated. Striking setting with a creek and dense woods Crescent-shaped beach with lots of privacy Excellent sand Best sun from late morning to mid afternoon Frequently windy and foggy, nice during Indian Summer More than 100 visitors on a warm day Straights, gays, singles, families, couples, seniors Some gawkers
