Directions

North of San Francisco on CA 1 between Stinson Beach and Muir Beach Just north of mileage marker 11.0 and the entrance to the Steep Ravine Environmental Campground There are two free parking lots, one on each side of the road. They are the only large parking lots in the vicinity. The 1/4 mile steep gravel path starts at the north end of the main parking lot Remember that whatever you carry down, you'll have to haul back up The path is fairly well-cleared, but watch out for poison oak

About

A very popular nude beach. In fact, it may the most popular nude beach north of San Francisco. Get there early on warm summer days. About a quarter mile long with rocky sides Often crowded, up to 300 users on a really nice day Families, tourists, some gawkers Very social and almost everyone is nude

Review

We love this beach so much, we got married on it! Very laid back, and mellow crowd. A few gawkers, but not a whole lot. Only bad thing, is the occasional sex acts when there`s very few people there, and no regulars to chase them off.

Pros

Great beach, protected from the wind.

Cons

The hike back up is an oxygen sucker at times.
