From Traverse City: US 31/37 south to Buckley, turn right at blinker light, through the village of Buckley, continue around the big curve to the left, and then the next road is 4 Road, turn right on 4 Road for 2 miles to 9 Road, turn left on 9 Road for 1.5 miles to 6 ½ Road, turn to the right and continue ¾ mile to Spruce Hollow sign on right. From Cadillac: M-115 north to Mesick, continue through the village of Mesick, across the Manistee River, and the first road past the Manistee is 9 Road, turn right on 9 Road for 5 miles and turn left on 6 ½ Road, continue ¾ mile to Spruce Hollow sign on right.

Spruce Hollow is a great place to meet and make good friendships and enjoy the cozy pool chairs. I would pay to stay all summer if I could. Also yes it`s always very clean and they had all the camping and campfire needs which was nice. I loved walking thru the spruce trees at night with the cool breeze.

Solar power heated pool

The big old satilite dish converted to a solar heat collector for the pool is very good way to save cost and very invironmentaly friendly 10+ points for their great efforts.

Pros

Campsites have great moss covered areas to lay on.

My wife and I had a great day here. The grounds are great and the pool was sparkling clean and did not have the usual over-chlorinated smell. The only downside was that there were only 4 other people there that day but it was good for my wife`s first resort visit.

I had posted a review for spruce hollow but I didn`t see the scoring pull down.. this is an excellent place. everyone there was very nice and welcoming. we will be returning for many more weekends.

This was our first experience at a nudist resort. Everyone was very nice and welcoming which made us get comfortable really quick. Naked bocci ball was a blast. The Owners were wonderful hosts and we will definalty be returning.
