I visited Turtle Lake for the first time on May 29th, 2009. I was definitely impressed! The grounds are well kept, (all 165+ acres) and the scenery & peacefulness are top notch! The owners are down to Earth, and the "full time" members I met were all incredibly nice. The indoor pool / hot tub area (located in the main clubhouse) was awesome!! The private beach adds a special touch that a lot of other resorts don`t offer. This year is especially a great time to visit; because their "Stimulus Package" allows visitors to save money when they stay overnight...... No daily grounds fees are charged if you stay in one of their room sites. (AND, much to my delighted surprise, first time visitors to Turtle Lake receive 1/2 off the daily fee; so I was able to visit for $16.00!!) I`ll definitely be planning more visits in the future!! I wasn`t able to stay overnight this first time, due to my schedule and prior obligations, but I can`t wait to go back for the full experience!!! :o)
ProsSo much room and openness, that even if several hundred perople were there, you could probably still find a place to get away!!
ConsThe warm weather season is shorter than other places..... (but they DO have a BEAUTIFUL indoor pool/ clubhouse area.... so it really cancels out the negative weather factor.)
Highly recommended!

I`ve been to TLR several times and it was my first venture into being nude. Everyone is so friendly and the resort is very well maintained. Fun activities almost every weekend. It is the largest naturist resort in the Midwest.
Prosopen 12 months, activites, not expensive, family friendly
Consit is about 2 hours from where I live!
