We had a group from here meet at HH. The weather was great but a bit hot. The temp was 102 with a heat index of about 105. The water felt great to cool off and we were able to find an area big enough for all of us in shade to cool off as needed. Besided the ten people from this site we met some other very nice people out there.

Pros

The park is situated on a beutiful lake, the entry fee is very low, nice restrooms

Cons

the lake is low, so there is a bit of a climb down to the water over rocks, but if you know the way, there are some easy paths

Several of us from here met in person and had a great time. It would have been nice if the weather cooperated, It started raining hard just as we got to Austin and we had to wait in car for it to stop. When the rain stopped and we went down to the water, we basicially had the park to ourselves.

Pros

Very reasonable entrance fee

Cons

The shore line is rocky instead of sandy, so can be a bit difficult to get down to water when lake is low
