A short ways up Redington Road, a steep, dirt trail across from a parking lot leads down to Tanque Verde Falls. This canyon area has usually year-round water, a wide variety of native plants, scenic waterfalls, and deep, natural swimming holes with lovely, clear water. Sometimes, as it is here, the water is too high and it's difficult to reach the pools and falls.

I have been going to this location since I was a teenager and it has changed greatly from what it was in the past. The upper trail is to be avoided, it has been taken over by gay men who have no shame having public sex. The bottom trail, the most difficult, leads you to a stream and a few pools. The middle trail will lead to below the falls, where there is a huge pool and cliffs for diving. It is important to note that in the summers, temperatures can exceed 120 degrees, and if there has not been any rainfall there will be no pools.

Year-round nudism, beautiful area.
