Came in on a cruise ship. So I didn't have much time. I did take a quick tour before I went to the beach. Buildings were well kept but a little old. The gounds were well kept. Didn't hit the restaurant or spa (massage). A resident mentioned that they were going to renovate the whole place soon. The beach area was lined with yellow unbrellas ($13) that included two lounge chairs. People were nice and varied in age. The water was beautiful and very salty. Lots of non nudist walking by and gawking on the beach, but no issues. They have a bar that was very nicely stocked. If I would have stayed at the resort and got to experience more, I may have given it 5/5. But if your into privacy this place isn't for you. I recommend it in a low season, cruiseship wise. When I was there they only had two cruiseships, I was told that it got alittle crowded when they have more ships in (Up to 14 cruise ships).

I agree with everything said by previous reviewer. I first visited in the mid-1980s and came a number of times. I visited this trip for just one day while on a trans-atlantic cruise. Three times as many beach umbrellas in use this time as 15 years ago and, at least, that multiple of people. Still, a gorgeous, clean beach with beautiful warm water. Easy $6 taxi ride from the port, if you get a full load of folks in a minivan taxi. Taxis wait at the beach road head to return to the port. If one stays at the resort, securitiy keep an eye to protect against island criminals.

I've been staying here for 25 years and have seen the beach grow from a hidden spot to massive condo and hotel developments go up all down the beach. The resort was wiped out by hurricane Luis in 95 but the resort came back stronger with the beach chalets now built of cement block and stucco. a good place for families with kids ( our went many times) and self contained so you don't have to leave the resort to buy anything although prices are lower on other parts of the island. the beach grows and erodes during the years when storms surge in the sea, but there is still enough beach in front of the resort to lay naked all day

high crime in some parts of the island, but not the resort
