A MUST READ BEFORE SIGNING UP AT GLEN EDEN! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE AN ATTRACTIVE WOMAN! GLEN EDEN CATERS TO THE DRUNK WRONG DOERS AT THEIR FACILITY! My wife and I started to be regulars there, we became members and we were informed that when we signed up that there were rules that were strictly enforced at Glen Eden. NOT! Unfortunately, one drunk idiot and the Glen Eden management ruined it for the rule followers. I was sitting in the jacuzzi having a pleasant conversation with another member as my wife sat on a lounge chair behind me against the wall. We both noticed an inappropriate member and his wife over by the pool packing their belongings and he was very condescending towards her as they left. He arrived back at the pool about 10 minutes later by himself to retrieve a towel that he had forgotten. He then proceeded to go out of his way to make a bee line towards my wife and said "hey sweetheart, you are hot" as he got in her face and leaned within inches of her lips with his to try and kiss her. He invaded my wife's personal space, made her feel extremely uncomfortable and then proceeded to tell me how hot my wife was after she told him that her husband was in the jacuzzi. My wife and I both immediately went to the office to report the incident and the manager wrote notes and told me that he would investigate the matter and call me back. He never called back and I found myself calling back to let them know that this was a serious matter that had really upset my wife. In our conversation, he apologized for not calling me back as promised and informed me that he would be meeting with the president to discuss the matter and would call me with a resolution after their meeting. He did contact me with the explanation that the inappropriate member was disciplined and that there was nothing further that he was going to do about the incident. He said, "it comes down to a he said, she said situation." I then proceeded to let him know that after the inappropriate member left and I saw an uncomfortable look on my wife's face. The person that I was having a conversation with said to my wife as I am getting out of the jacuzzi "sorry if what he just did made you feel uncomfortable." I told the manager that I disagreed with his resolution and that I felt is was my duty to Yelp my experience for the public to see. BEWARE! We paid good money to be members there and to be able to come into that environment to feel safe and protected with the rules set by Glen Eden. The manager then proceeded to let me know that I was threatening him and he felt uncomfortable with us coming back and that I should call ahead before visiting Glen Eden again to see if our membership has been suspended. WHAT?! So, now the manger is threatening to take away our privileges that we paid for when we took the right steps to ensure that Glen Eden was aware of the incident. We, the rule followers are going to be potentially punished for doing the right thing and reporting inappropriate behavior by another member? I informed the manager that my communication was not a threat, instead a promise. What a hassle! My wife is now uncomfortable with going back, knowing that Glen Eden didn't really do anything about the situation and that the inappropriate member now knows that he can practically get away with going up to other women in the future that are complete strangers, invade their personal space and try and kiss them. GLEN EDEN IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT YOU FROM THE WRONGDOERS. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO BLACK'S BEACH INSTEAD, THAT'S WHAT WE NOW DO. AND, YOU'LL GET MORE RESPECT IN PUBLIC WHERE THERE ARE NO RULES AND IT'S FREE!

I was a gold seal member of GE for seven years before moving away from Southern Cal, and I have to say that I really miss my club. I miss my volleyball buddies, and I miss the staff as well. GE may not be as nice as some of the other clubs around the country, but it has some really nice people there. The food at the cafe was always good, and the events were usually done well. I only wish that GE would reach out to the younger generations by giving the college kids a huge (read... quarter to a half) discount so we can attract younger blood to the club. I would have to say that the mean age at GE is 50... too old. But I only mention this because the club needs a younger crowd to survive for the long term.

We've been there twice now, once for a weekend stay, once for a day visit. It's a nice place, nothing spectacular but far from the worst nudist resort we've ever been to.

Pros
Indoor pool for when it's cold outside, huge hot tub!

Cons
We were charged full price for a day visit during construction and had to listen to jackhammers all day long. Not very relaxing.

This place is a lot of fun and the people are very friendly. We visited many years ago and the group was a lot more conservative then. They do watch closely as they should to deter unwelcome behavior. There is lots of room to roam around, and lots to keep you entertained. We look forward to our next visit to explore a bit more than just the pool area.

Just had a nice stay here with my wife. Rented one of the trailers and the weather was perfect. They were setting up for a New Years party.
