About Palmerton Sunny Rest Resort and Campground
Sunny Rest Resort is a tranquil, clothing optional naturist resort, established in 1945. Located in the beautiful Pocono mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia, a pleasant two hour drive from New York City, and within driving distance of Washington D.C. We have over 190 acres of rolling hills, and partially wooded grounds.

Note: From the Turnpike Exit 74 they both have you turn left (shown in blue below). For a more direct route from Exit #74 (shown in yellow above): after the toll booth, keep right onto Rte. 209 North for about 150 feet. Watch for Bowmanstown sign. [BE CAREFUL NOT TO MISS IT!]. At that sign turn right onto Cherry Hill Road and travel approximately 3 miles. Turn left at the Sunny Rest Resort sign and drive to the Gatehouse.

I have been going there for about three years. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. The only thing I dont like is that people are friendlier when you are with a woman rather than being alone. Other than that I love spending my day off there.

Cons
Closed winter time and more adult aurionted.

Spent an aafternoon and liked it. Relaxed atmosphere, nice and clean, lots of recreational and lodging options - even hiking trails, which I love! I'll be back, for sure!

I decided to drive two hours to Palmerton for the chance to run just one race without clothing and I did. It was quite an experience. Loved how there's no laundry. Athletes stayed at the pool area afterwards and enjoyed the weather despite the passing shower. What a fantastic atmosphere! Walking to and from my car was a chore but I loved that too!

This will be my fourth time at Sunny Rest Resort, and like always, it was a great time! The visit is always worth it. The staff there are very hospitable and cordial. They will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfy and that you are well taken care of. As for the people, well I cannot say enough about how nice everyone was...THIS IS A TRUE COMMUNITY! Most people will say hello in passing, or a nice welcome wave.
There is always some sort of activity going on there, such as their annual "boat regatta" or the pool vollyball... Plus they now have a pool side bar, which adds to the fun, as there is a daily happy hr. which includes fun games. Besides all that you can enJoy the hot tub, or tennis, weightroom, and still have fun exploring their nature trails. I usually camp there but they do have hotel rooms(camping is more fun!). Last but NOT least, on the weekends they have the club for you to enJoy, either with a live band or a DJ. I always have fun here meeting new people, as well there are some regulars that have campers here all year... GREAT PEOPLE TO MEET! Pricing is not bad either!!!

Great atmostphere when I was there for Naturists meeting...Single guys and gals were welcomed and same gender couples as defined by naturist society- Not sure what policy is at other times. GREAT big pool and nice grounds.......
