a poem for the one who has inspired me

 the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. the sun is setting. it is twilight time. time to unwind from the day. it is time to hold you in my arms and wash your cares of the day away. together we walk along the beach  hand in hand. we walk and talk. about hopes and dreams. we talk of love . we walk and talk of many things. as the stars come out  the moon begains to rise. we catch our refelctions in the sea.we lay down in the sand holding each other close. i awake reach for you but you are not there. it was a dream. i have awakened to the real world. to an empty bed. empty other than me. the dream comes back to me  and i smile.at least i got to hold you for a little while, even if it was just a dream.
