Chubby Men as Nudist

Hello one summer I was told that chubby men like myself cant be come nudist because their bodies are not wanted on the beach.....I was like that is not a true nudist and you are here for the wrong reasons....has anyone ever experienced comments like that? and if so how did you handle the situation?
