The Dilemma

This is the first of a series of ramblings I will be posting this year.  It is a way for me to look at a number of issues regarding nudity.  There is so much to say about nudity, yet there is nothing to it.  There is so much for us to debate in forums and posts and lawn chairs and jacuzzis, yet there is nothing to it. That is The Dilemma. Stripped to its essence, nudity is a choice of wardrobe.  It is like deciding whether to wear a long-sleeve shirt or a short-sleeve shirt.  There are a number of factors that would come into play in this decision.  But no one would suggest that those who choose to wear short-sleeve shirts should be classified in our society as "short-sleeve shirtists," and should have to join "short-sleeve shirt resorts" in order to wear their provocative clothing behind high fences, or go to remote wilderness settings ("shirturists?") away from other hikers and meddling rangers, and should congregate on short-sleeve shirt websites, endlessly trying to meet and avoid single males and debate the issues that face the short-sleeve shirtist community. No, it`s just a choice of wardrobe.  Never mind all that other stuff. And the fact that I am wearing nothing right now?  Choice of wardrobe.  Nothing to see here, move along. Being naked is natural, wholesome, healthy and, above all, honest.  It should not be a big deal.  But it is.  We didn`t make it that way, but we have to deal with it because others say so.  A whole range of issues, we all know them.  All because of..........of what?  Really? It`s nothing.  It`s a very big deal.  It`s a dilemma. (Feel free to respond.)
