I'm a clothes-compulsive man who has come to regret his compulsiveness and recognise it for the aberrant behaviour it is. I do believe that each day spent without clothes is a day of success to be celebrated, and one step closer to full recovery. I admit that I need more strength than I alone possess to overcome the compulsion to dress when unnecessary. I receive this strength from the power for good generated by the principles of naturism/nudism and the encouragement of like-minded people like you. I admit that accepting naturism/nudism required a searching and fearless inventory of myself, my clothes-compulsive behavior, my confusion of nudity with sex and my attitudes toward sex itself. I did my best to not transmit my previous distaste for nudity to my children or to any other person I may encounter, while respecting the beliefs of others who have yet to see the light. Yes! We can overcome this dependency we call clothing. Yes! We can see ourselves and others naked and know that morality will not fall apart for the simple act of being nude. Yes! We can see a difference between nudity and sex where others can only see confusion. The world at large requires that I wear clothes at least some of the time. I have made a committment to control the stitch, and not let it control me. For if the stitch gains control, I will be lost. (If the plain joy of being naked isn't enough, maybe this will work!)
