Travelites` Toga (optional)party report & upcoming

Members from around the Midlands and over the border in GA gathered on a relaxing Saturday afternoon for the Toga (optional) party. We all opted for the “optional” and remained unencumbered for the event. There was the garlic/spinach dip with a variety of crackers and some rosemary-steamed shrimp to snack on. The ethnic potluck supper included bratwurst, sauerkraut, tossed salad with a variety of dressing, Hungarian pot roast and noodles as well as brownies, apple pie and Tiramisu ice cream and French vanilla coffee to top off the feast. . There were some changes in the auction (please see below). . Travelites’ next event is on August 27th in Camden; our annual Good-bye to Summer gathering. As times and food suggestions come in from our hosts, I will pass that on. They do have a pool and hot tub and a lovely home. . Labor Day weekend will find more than a dozen Travelites and friends gathering at Serendipity, just 3-1/2 hours from Columbia. We should arrive there mid-day on Saturday and leave after lunch on Monday. .
