Travelites visit Cedar Creek (July 3, 2010), upcoming events, & Auction update

It was a perfect day weather-wise: sunny with a slight breeze. Many could be found in the pool, playing volleyball from time to time or sunning around the pool or wandering down to the creek. . The daily music was not overly loud as at some parks we've been to. The dinner at the park was sufficient to satisfy the picky - fried or baked chicken and the fixin's. Some of us brought our own dinner and feasted on barbecue and macaroni and cheese. . It was a super day catching up with old friends and visiting with new ones. . Travelites' next scheduled event will be Friday - Sunday (July 9 - 11) at Whispering Pines with our annual canoe trip on Saturday. If you have your own vessel, you can join us for the canoe trip, I just have to know who you are and other information. Let me know if you're joining the fun and a registration form can be emailed to you. It's an easy 7-mile float. At 2:30 on 7/10, we will stop and get ready for the Guinness World Book record breaking Skinnydip. Some of our members will participate at Whispering Pines; others will visit Cedar Creek for the event. . July 24 will find us in Graniteville for our annual Luau, pig pickin', and hopefully Ham Radio Event. It all begins at 2:30 at Sunair. The club will be supplying the main course and ask others to bring sides and desserts. Please RSVP so we have enough food. . August 14th is our Toga party - it will either be at Tega Cay or Hopkins.
