Dec 3, 2014The gryphons nest in Springfield looks like it has a pool and clubhouse. Maybe we can rent it for an event.ReagierenAntworten - LA
Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserDec 4, 2014
I just went to the gryphons nest website and was just curious if they allow nudists to camp out there.
Can you try to find out? Not sure exactly where this place is. But there is plenty of time right now to make plans before the bugs come back out of the mud.ReagierenAntworten - MA
That's an interesting place. I thought I saw that the spa was clothing optional until 9 pm and then clothing was required - but that sounds wrong and now I can't find it again. They seem very open and accepting of lifestyles so nudity shouldn't be a problem.
Another thought: I heard that the Dive Inn in New Orleans has closed. It's a clothing optional B&B with a big indoor pool. I wonder if the room with the pool, hot tubs, seating, etc. could be rented by the day.ReagierenAntworten - LA
Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserDec 4, 2014I don't intend to go all the way to NOLA for a crawfish boil. That's a bit farther than I want to drive for that. Somewhere more to the north of there would be better.ReagierenAntworten - LA
Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserDec 5, 2014
There is a place near Verda, LA called Woody Holler. It's a friend of mine that owns a lot of property. He set it up for nudists to be able to camp primitively and nature hike and bicycle. I'll see if he is officially open yet.
Verda? That's close to Colfax, isn't it? That would be better for me, and probably for more of the members on here, as it's more centrally located in the state. That may make it easier to get a bigger group together for something like this. Can you check with him? It would be great to have a place in La. to go for a nudist weekend without having to go to Texas as an only option. By that I mean for other times besides just a crawdad boil, like a long weekend or something. Who knows, I might be willing to go down there sometime to help him get something done to get things improved. I do have experience building/making things and a lot of "Toys" to make it happen.ReagierenAntworten - LA
Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserDec 9, 2014Anyone else up for a crawfish boil, and any other suggestions on a good place to have one? I have a pot and a good burner to cook on. How many more have crawdad cooking equipment?ReagierenAntworten - JO
Is that in North Louisiana? i remember reading about a guy who had created something like this for nudists in the northern part of LA. I just wasn't sure how it would work out for the primitive unless i just did it for a day as I have no camping gear. Winter months I'd probably want to be indoors for warmth anyway. Still it would be wonderful. To be nude outside and not get to be actually in nature is absurd.
I don't like Crawfish, but I'd bring my own food and join in the fun if possible.ReagierenAntworten - LA

Yeah but, how many nudist crawfish boils have you been to? I started this thread/idea and I sure aint driving to New Orleans area for a boil, when one can be set up more central to the state for others to get to. I will be down in the Verda area tomorrow as a matter of fact. I just wish I had a little more info on where this place is down there, so I might at least drive past to get an idea of where to find it. There are places around there where crawdads can be purchased for reasonable prices, too.ReagierenAntworten - LA
Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserFeb 26, 2016I'm still wanting to know about this place near Verda, and if it is open for nudist activities or not. Anyone know where it might be found or if it is open or not?ReagierenAntworten - JO
Feb 27, 2016Same here. That would be pretty cool, if its still around that is.ReagierenAntworten - LA

Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserJan 16, 2017Coming up on another crawdad season again. Who is ready for it? I know I sure am, as well as my girlfriend. Maybe this year some of us can get together for a nude crawdad boil, somewhere central to the state so more can have the chance to attend.

Lakeman221Ursprünglicher VerfasserMar 4, 2017Tired of waiting on anybody else on this. I bought me a new 80 quart pot with a basket and lid last Saturday. Got it seasoned up and cleaned out yesterday. Filled it with water and got it to a good rolling boil for about 15 minutes. Going today to get sack of crawdads, so I can get'em cleaned up and ready for a Hot Tub Party Louisiana Style tomorrow. Anybody in the area want to join can bring a sack of them and the seasonings and I will cook'em up for you. But since this is going to take place out in my yard, it won't be a clothing optional event like I would like it to be. Chain link fences don't make for much privacy. If interested, let me know, SOON.

May 7, 2017Smart on you to finally get your own. If you can't get them at Rouse's , making them yourself is a good option. I don't care for the critters myself, but I support your efforts to try to get this happening. Hopefully people with a house with land or good fence will be able to volunteer in the future. I'm sure Indian Hills wouldn't object to a boil out there. Or two posts above the guy mentioned a place...but that would take effort and commitment from people which sadly isn't as likely.

Mine always turn out muchly better than any of the places I have tried that cook them up commercially.ReagierenAntworten
