Delicate Darlings of Nature - A Poem

These delicate darlings of nature
You are surely a wonder
Growing from brown earth and stalks
In the midst of green leaves against all odds
Of hues and shades unimaginable
Of aromas and smells unthinkable
With petals so delicate and tender
Opening up to exhibit your wonder
Giving us colour, fruit, seed and life
Your regal resplendence
And graceful elegance
Can soften the toughest
With unabashed tenderness
Your beauty lies hidden till it blooms
And lasts only a short while
Yet the colour and aroma of your presence
In the midst of the wildest
The delicate darlings of nature
Are surely a wonder...!
