Jun 27, 2012Just one. I rode in my first WNBR in Portland this month. It was an amazing experience. Liberating. There were some 10,000 of us, the weather was perfect, and I'm pretty sure I laughed the whole ride.I went with two friends, and it was a first ride for both of them, too. I'm sure I'll ride next year, and I have another friend who wants to join us.

Dec 29, 2015I have had the pleasure of riding in the last 3 events in Columbus, Ohio. Each year has had a lot more riders than the previous year. Last year (June 2015) a heavy rainstorm stopped just a little before the ride. (Got lucky there, I guess, unless you like riding in the rain) I loved the reception of the State University crowd (many cheers and hand slaps while riding down some of the main streets). Every year I attended was at night ... a little cool but still enjoyable as were the all-night parties after the rides, but I would like to try a daytime ride sometime as well. Maybe Columbus would allow some random naked bike riding on the city bike trails during the day (all day) before the WNBR... We could claim it was to raise awareness for the WNBR issues (like bike safety) before the main event that night. ... Do you think there would be any chance of THAT happening? :-)) ---- UPDATE: 01.02.16 - after reviewing some pictures from the Columbus rides, I think I have been to at least 5 WNBR events, there. I've seen my self in 1 Utube video and one good picture from 2014. I might post a copy of it later but first, I guess I should cover up some of the other faces, for legal reasons. ---- Update 1.25.16 - That picture is now on my profile page.ReagierenAntworten - AM
Dec 31, 2015I did Portland's last summer and it was amazing! Over 10,000 people participating! My friends from Sweden and Inhad the best time. We are doing it again next year.

Therewasa daytime ride in Lexington KY in 2012, but I could not make that one. Maybe I was lucky ... Reviewing the WNBR archives today, I noticed that only 30 riders participated in that event, and 2 of them were arrested , for no apparent reason, by the local police. It was a perfectly orderly ride, and almost completed, when 2 naked guys were stopped and charged with, the usual, indecent exposure complaint. :-/ (Boo-Hiss) :-ppp <-- (I'm calling that a raspberry) I don't know who made the complaint, or why. I guess the ride was not big enough to have any political or economic impact in that city. ... In 2013, no ride was organized. I wonder why? ... So, that's a good PR opportunity for Lexington wasted.ReagierenAntworten

I've been to only two WNBR in Australia so far.
Thinking of participating in more WNBR events, just trying to find the right opportune time to do so.
I heard the London WNBR is quite grand and a "good experience"?

Dec 7, 202212 so far. 2019- 3- New Orleans, Montreal and Philadelphia. 2021-1- New Orleans. 2022-8- Austin, Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Montreal, 2 rides 1 day and 1 night, St Louis and Philadelphia. Not sure how many I will do this year, depends on the finances. When I got to Philadelphia this past summer, I realized I had some of the dates wrong on the t shirt, plus I did not end up doing Houston.
