I was afraid the Ocean Palms would have closed by now. Glad to see on TripAdvisor that as of Nov 17, 2010 it is still there. I've stayed there quite a few times and can't imagine staying anywhere else when going to Haulover beach. It's all about being able to walk to the beach. Think it's time to schedule a week down there.

Mar 4, 2011As much as I liked the close proximity to Haulover, the place needs some major upgrades. The room may have been clean, but everything was so old that I didn't feel comfortable. It was like being in a cheap motel in high school when you couldn't take a date home because of your parents. There were also no restaurants close by...it was a good walking distance to get something to eat at night. Otherwise, I did enjoy being able to to walk to the beach first thing in the morning and even go after hours. Even though the motel stated no nudity, I would find nudists around the pool area. I have very mixed feelings about staying there again.
