Feb 22, 2011yes indeed and the tea tree lakes are an unsual alternative although can be a bit dodgy lol, but I enjoyed swimming there, te dunes though have been hammered over recent years by storms and been eaten away, but a wonderful surf beach and the water is nice and warm.

Mar 2, 2011I went to Tyagarah last Sunday for the first time. I didn't realise there would be no shady trees. Make sure you bring an umbrella or beach tent and plenty of sunscreen. It is still an awesome beach and goes on forever. It was awesome to just walk for ages naked along the beach. There is a $7 parking fee to the National Parks and Wildlife so make sure you have money with you. I had to scrounge up what coins I could find in my car! I'll be going back for sure. NudyJay

Mar 17, 2014My wife and I love both the beach and the tea tree lake, we trek down from the Gold Coast every chance we get. Last time we were at the lake there was even a couple from Tasmania who had heard about it and chose it to be their first naked experience.ReagirResponder - FU

Apr 21, 2014agree
The Tea Tree lake looks good on appearance - but there are issues with the water from time to time and being a little more secluded, have encountered some less savory activities in years gone by.
It was the beach for me when I used get down there (just stay clear of the area behind the dunes)One day again?ReagirResponder - MEMembroApr 22, 2014[quote]I actually prefer the northern end of Belongil beach, remote, quieter, peaceful and no unsavoury types lol just me! Haha
For me it is not the social aspect, it is the seclusion and sound of the ocean waves, the breeze and the birds etc. it's heaven for me.
Come with me sometime, pm me and we will try to plan a day trip.

Jun 21, 2014As we were driving down the highway about a week ago - we could see that the council was working on their end of Grays Lane. I think the other end though is maintained by National Parks - so probably wasn't included this time.
I wonder how the road will be by the time the warmer weather returns ?ReagirResponder - AU
Jun 21, 2014Possibly we need to be grateful that there is any sort of access road along grays lane and taking us so close to the beach. It is so much better than the likes of the access to ABay, even if you can find somewhere to park, it is still a decent hike to the beach
ReagirResponder - MEMembroJan 2, 2015I was there last week, the road surface still has pot holes. There are some exposed rocks on the southside of the beach - northern side much better. A great place to relax, however there is no shade. I have not been to the teatree lake but maybe next time.ReagirResponder

Jul 10, 2016I hope it's nice weather for you Aussiedain. They did grade the road at the national park end at the end of summer but not sure how it has fared after the big wet we had since then.

Jul 11, 2016This beach is famous and it's great that it remains so well loved. There is an underlining local movement to close it's legal status....please make sure we all continue to patronise!!Let's make sure this stays a genuine nudist beach! Please don't let this special place be tainted by grubby sleaze......let's keep things clean or at least uncontroversial so as to keep the authorities satisfied:)ReagirResponder - MEMembroJul 12, 2016
Such a great beach. My wife and I were there a year ago last spring (autumn in Aus), and couldn't believe how huge and unpopulated it was. Not hard to believe it will soon be under pressure...we saw a large building going up near there.
