Greenhouses?

Just curious to know how many of you have any sort of greenhouse or hoop house. I built mine a few years ago and it's been great. Not only do I get season extension for my plants, but also for my nude gardening. Although it was -27 degrees (F) here this morning (and we are not forecast to go above zero all day), in a few weeks the sun will be high enough to really start warming up the greenhouse. I get a real thrill when I walk naked out through a foot or two of snow to the greenhouse on a sunny day and it's in the 70's or 80's in there.

I have a small greenhouse I built with lumber, pvc pipe and plastic that I use to extend our short growing season in northwest US. I also have a sun room in my cabin that I use to start and extend potted veggies. It is nice to be able to garden naked in the warmth of the sun, while being sheltered from the wind and chill!

I have a small greenhouse, gas heated, in the backyard. I have some tropical plants and start others from seed. It is great to be out there in the winter.

I have built two 4' by 12' hoop houses for lettuce and other cold weather crops. Best thing I have done in a long time. Fresh greens all winter long.
