My birthday present
It's soon my birthday. So I would like to offer you all a treat and to receive some presents.
As for the presents I would lik to receive that would be some... poems.
Yes, yes, I'm serious. I would like each member who cares to write an original poem. It can be about anything, about your dog, about your garden, about women, or about driving nude... anything you want, in any language you want (I'll use Google translate in don't speak it) but it should be original and it should have at least four lines and it should rhyme.
And no, two line-verses will not do, because I can see it coming (things like "Roses are red, violets are blue, this is so boring and so are you". Four lines will make you think.
As for my treat to you, I don't know... anything you want? So what could I offer you that would give you pleasure?
The sun is resting and the moon's aloft
illuminating her skin , so smooth , so soft
the summer is passing and time is fleeting
naked and nervous, my heart beating
the water is inviting , cool and black
i take her hand and we can't turn back
as we submerge our bodies in the lake
an urge, a desire begins to wake
i draw her near, a watery caress
there is more to this story i do confess.............

As the world turns and the equinox passes
And we in the south dig out our dark glasses,
Those in the north move to indoor spaces
Or those wondrous heated spa places.
So it's our turn for the beaches
and the ice cream and peaches
the sunblock and chilled wine
and Speedos? No, naked is fine.
