Does the Updates section still exist in the new format

If it does , how do I find it.
If it does not , how am I supposed to see what my friends doing ( posting pics , joining groups, blogs or making new friends)?

It does but it's called "My Feed" and isn't visible if looking at your profile page. Once signed in, click on the "truenudists" logo at the upper left corner of the page. You will see "My Feed" which can be set to show those things you wish by clicking on the "Edit My Feed Settings" button.
