420 refers to April 20th being the unofficial "National Weed Day." It's believed the reference began in the 1970s in San Rafael, California; a police code meaning "Marajuana Smoking in Progress." The story is that a group of 5 students from San Rafael HS. would meet at 4:20 pm after school to smoke pot.

Cessna 421 "Golden Eagle", a twin engine cabin class aircraft with unique geared engines. Rather than direct drive propellers, the 421 has geared propellers to allow the engine to run at a higher RPM for better power production, but reduces the RPM through gears so the propeller remains in the effective RPM range. Props can't turn much more than 2800 RPM without loosing effective "lift" across the blade area and exceeding the speed of sound at the tip, which causes excess noise and vibration.
