true weight

Am I the only one who thinks it is weird to go to the doctor, be weighed with my clothes on, and have some arbitrary number subtracted to estimate my actual weight? I would be willing to give them an honest weight if they weren't so fussy.

I agree, weight should be accurate and not estimated. It's the with as time. If I ask someone the time, I don't want them to say, " it's just after eleven O'clock ". I ask because I want to know what the time is.

Your weight can change by a few pounds over the course of a day and accuracy is not really the objective. Trends matter more. I would not lie, but how do we know that the scale used at home is accurate and consistent. I did a test of a fairly expensive digital unit one time and found that in ten weighings I got ten different weights with the range over four pounds.
