RE: Your responsibilities as a member of this site.

Admittedly, I'm jumping into the middle of an existing fray here, but I find it curious that some members list their sexual preferences in their profiles, and even stranger is the fact some profiles blatantly state they're looking for sexual contact with others. Although newcomers to this site, my wife and I have extensive experience in the nudist lifestyle, including your stomping grounds, Snugglebunny........two visits to Solair, and three years' membership with Berkshire Vista (formerly Birch Acres), during the late 80's.........and nearly ten years membership with Cedar Waters in NH. In other words, we know what nudism is and what it entails, and some of the overt sexuality in here seems over the top.

Hi and welcome.
Unfortunately with so many newcomers it is hard to check all the profiles. Added to it is that fact that many have verry little in their profile when they join, but add things after they have been here a while. If you see a profile that is blatently sexual, you can flag it and bring it to the attention of site owner or simply send a message to the person asking them to change it. I have been on other nudist sites and found them to be more sexual than nudist, that is why I left.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH THOSE WHO HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH THE VITRIOLIC ATTACKS THAT HAVE BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS. Ignore the prattle and simply bump a new thread onto the main page. Some people are getting their kicks on upsetting others so don't give them their moment in the sun.

RE: Your responsibilities as a member of this site.

As this thread has already been brought up to the head of the home page, I may as well post this to inform all the none certified members, that, Surprise Surprise! ..... Phillyboardboy, has just posted this on the Flame thread, that has been going on in the certified forum.Yes i am from the past, and i have nothing better to do then get revenge for being kicked off a website that i can just join again!Rest assured that all his fictitious garbage, and that IS exactly what it was, along with his profile, will soon be deleted.

As Jen said in response on that threadOkay, everyone, THAT explains a lot. PHilly, have no idea who you were in your other TN incarnation or why you were previously booted from the site, but prepare to get booted again. In the meantime, I'd like to advise everybody to just ignore him. Don't respond to ANYTHING he posts, ANYWHERE. It's only fanning his flames.

For the record:

Fact: His tone AND disrespectful attitude, STARTED this argument, from day one.

Fact: He did not substantiated any ofhis allegations with examples.

Fact: If you Insult, ridicule and make disrespectful comments, people WILL get angry and retaliate.

Fact: It is plain to see for anyone willing to study the forum, that there IS an unusual level of actively friendly and helpful people here.

Fact: ALL of the information he required, IS here, if he had bothered to look for it, (or ask nicely)instead of trying to insist that we all live by the letter of the law.

Fact: The world is NOT black and white, rules have to be tempered with compassion and common sense.

Fact: We are all here at the discretion of the owner.

Fact: The TOS (Terms of Service) is ALMOST irrelevant, other than to satisfy legal requirements and give the site owner the power to be judge and jury on his own site.

Fact: The Site Owner *IS* JUDGE and JURY, members are merely asked to flag up possible contraventions to invite and facilitate, HIS decisions, according to HIS personal standards. (which incidentally, appear to be founded on basic common decency, respect and good old common sense)

Fact: If you are dissatisfied with the way he is operating, HIS site, you have the opportunity to furnish him with your recommendations, if you are unsuccessful, you may leave.

Fact: The flagging system IS anonymous. Harassment in that regard (other than outing) is not an issue.

Fact: Anyone who feels they have been wronged, has the option to flag up their concerns.

Fact: The Flag system does work, albeit that several mitigating circumstances, make it slower than is desirable.

Fact: Every couple ofmonths or so, some smart arse starts shooting off their mouth, before putting their brain into gear, everyone wastes a bunch of time, rarely because it is important to educate them, but because it IS important to some of us, that new members do NOT get a distorted and inaccurate impression. Sooner or later, the bird brain's profile is removed, with IT goes EVERYTHING that was written through that profile, and everyone's efforts to educate, are all but wasted. Hence my limited involvement in this instance.

So relax everyone, this too shall pass.

Once again, Don't respond to ANYTHING he posts, ANYWHERE, don't give him that satisfaction, like him, it will all soon be gone.

Right now, from my perspective, there is a whole lot of nonsense on this board and it isn't just coming from the newbies. Let it go! IGNORE THE STUPIDITY ALREADY!

Keep True Nudists Clean

Seeing that TN is a supporter of AANR we could also agree that the AANR
accepted rules of nudist etiquette be the example for all to focus on, thus we
should be flagging groups that are sexually suggestive, and or down right
discussing to the real true nudists image. Groups like Allsex,ASS LOVERS,
COCKRING LOVERS, COUPLE LOVERS, LOW-HANGERS SUPPORT GROUP, MALE ASS LOVERS,
MARRIED AND CURIOUS, NO BALLS AND PENIS CLUB, NUDISM/VOYEURISM, NUDIST SWINGERS,
NUDIST SWINGERS AROUND ALBANY N.Y., NUDISTS WHO LIKE TO BE NAUGHTY, NUDIST'S WHO
ENJOY GREAT SEX, RISQUE SENIORS, TEXAS NUDIST SWINGERS, UK NUDISTS/SWINGERS,
VOYEURS, YOUNG SUN LOVING GIRLS WANTED STRAIGHT OR BI
are not acceptable to
AANR standards, nor the majority of True Nudists in this forum. This is why we
all have flag buttons ! New groups should be screened and need approval before appearing on TN!

RE: Your responsibilities as a member of this site.

Phil, first of all I have been certified from day one, and second of all, send me a friend request and you'll see that there is nothing questionable about my page. Thirdly, what makes a group is its members, it's not the group in itself that is the problem, it's the people that join it...no? There has been all this talk about removing "pervs" from the site, you actually think removing the group removes the pervs? No. Think of it in these terms: Al Qaeda is a group, right? But what is Al Qaeda without insurgents? It's nothing, it's just a name.
Opps! ..... I stand corrected :) In that case it's a shame you didn't find and read, the "Inappropriate groups" thread.

Unfortunately, members are not likely to send a request unless they have a reason to think you have something in common, or, that you may have some good pics to ogle. You can restrict your pics to friends only, so there really is no need to go private, I happen to think it's akin to walking around in a nudist club fully clothed. In my view, bad form.

Agreed it would be nice to eject anyone that joins an inappropriate group, but that would be very time consuming and therefore I doubt that it's an option. We have to work with what we have, I believe TT has several plans for the site, but they will only come to fruition, if and when the site becomes profitable enough to instigate them.

There have been cases where all members of an inappropriate group have been banned, it has be be a serious violation but it will happen.

RE: Your responsibilities as a member of this site.

"THIS IS A SELF-POLICING SITE. THAT MEANS FOLLOW THE RULES AND IF SOMEONE IS NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILTY AS A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING TO TAKE THE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS.

Any site is only as good as its members - old or new. When a person (male or female) is not willing to follow the rules/policies/guidelines/etiquette set forth by the creator of the site and exhibits inappropriate or offensive behavior, then it is up to the "offended" member (old or new) to follow the guidelines that are in place to curtail such behavior.

1. Politely let the person know that their behavior or picture is offensive and against the policies of the site. If the offense occurs in chat, let them know it is against the rules and ask them to stop. If it is an offensive picture, send them an email letting them know. I suggest doing it politely. The person in question may be unaware that what they have said or displayed or the manner in which theyve behaved is against the rules.
2. If that does not work, flag their profile listing their specific offense.
3. If the behavior still persists report the abusive/offensive behavior in an email to abuse@truenudists.com
4. When you enter the chat room, REMEMBER that one of the rules you are agreeing to before you enter the room is to FLAG AND REPORT ANY MEMBER WHO IS BREAKING THE RULES. If you dont, you are, in essence, breaking the rules yourself as that is part of what you agreed to do before entering the room.

As one must be 18 to be a member of this site, I would assume that one would be mature enough to take responsibility for their own actions/reactions and act accordingly. The same social mores and tenets that exist socially (on the net or off the net) in the textile world apply to THIS nudist site. Let's all work together to keep this site a friendly place for "true nudists".
Thank you

Though it might be worth adding this Jen.

October 23rd, 2008 Congratulations True Nudists. We now have over 3000 users!! https://www.truenudists.com/blog/ The site is growing rapidly and I would like to thank those who have donated and been respectable members of the community. Ive been receiving emails and seeing in the forum that people are unhappy that I am not as socially present as I was when the site was a smaller community. Unfortunately this is just the way it goes. The site is still not collecting ad revenue, so Im unable to hire help so I ask your patience through this growth spurt. There is alot of behind the scenes administration work that keeps me quite busy, and a never ending flow of perverts trying to take over. I am however concentrating most of my efforts to keeping the community clean from pornography and non-nudists who seek to turn this into an adult/porn community. Through this time I have some ways that users can help free up some of my time and also improve the community. 1. Follow the guidelines for chat, pictures etc. The more time I have to spend removing sexual pictures or explaining to users why their account was banned or explaining why a certification was not accepted takes time away from my ability to improve the site. 2. Help patrol the site. This is probably the most useful thing any user can do. Pervs creep in when users allow it. If someone is acting sexually or inappropriate please flag their profile. There is also a place to specify what they have done to deserve the flagging. Please use it. 3. Ask the forum or other users for commonly asked questions. Currently I am trying to compile a list of Frequently Asked Questions. Until then many of the questions you have are answered in this blog, or in the forum, or by simply asking another user in the chat. 4. Volunteer your time If you have experience with HTML/Photoshop or PHP/MYSQL, I could use some help with writing tutorials and entering locations. Please email support@truenudists.com if you would like to help. 5. Donate. (click here to donate) Servers cost money, and while at this time the server costs are not horrendous, the days of needing a dedicated server are getting closer (and teamtrue is running low on hot pockets and Redbull) . So please donate and help the community grow.
