Travelites' 2011 events
Members did some planning for 2011. Here are the results:
2011 -- January 15 - East Coast Nude Chili Cookoff -Hosted by Serendipity, Cleveland, GA. Event 2:30; competition 5pm $3 entry fee
Jan 22nd - 1st hot tub& potluck party of the New Year
Feb 12th - Valentine party & oyster roast - Ridgeway
Feb 26th - Mardi Gras celebration
Mar 12th - St. Patrick's Day Party in Leesville, SC
Mar 26th - Spring Fling, Tie Dying & Egg Coloring
Apr 9th - Low Country Boil in Ridgeway, SC
Apr 23th - Earth Day celebration & 5th Annual Pioneer Days & potluck supper with "bison burgers" provided by the club & ice cream social. A fun day including harmonica playing & guitar pickin'
May 7th - World Naked Gardening Day 2:30 for sun & fun, Hopkins, SC. Mexican Theme Potluck supper at 6:30
Annual auction fundraiser for SisterCare, NAC, AANR Education Foundation, and the American Nudist Research Library begins and continues at each event until Travelites Patriots Party in Sept.
May 21st - Introduction to Nudism & Kids' Games for Adults
May 29th - Memorial Day Weekend
Jun 11th - Travelites 25th Birthday Party

The weather was SUNNY and VERY warm to say the least for Travelites' annual Luau
at Ms. Evelyn's property in Graniteville, SC. The welcome mat was definitely
out for us with the gate unlocked at the requested time and five fans
circulating the air brought out a nice breeze.

Members arrived from not only the Midlands, but the Upstate, Low Country, and
Georgia. The pond was refreshing but really not as chilling as in previous
years. Most of the food was consumed with few leftovers including 2 kinds of
coleslaw, pickles, homemade macaroni and cheese, a wonderful hors d'oeuvre with
shrimp, tomatoes, and herbs was brought by a prospective Upstate member. There
was also mango salsa, and the obligatory garlic/spinach dip, and a trail mix.
Dessert included a huge iced carrot cake and brownies.

The last attendees left the park @ 8pm, and we are welcome to return whenever we
can schedule the time. The next planned event there will be October 29th for
our Halloween party.

We did learn that some times if a car doesn't start, a "smart" car might think
it is being attempted to be stolen. Should that happen to anyone, you should
use the actual key to lock and unlock the door to confirm it's you.

Travelites' next events scheduled are the Toga(optional) party on Aug. 13 in
Hopkins, SC at 2:30 with an international flair potluck supper and a Goodbye to
Summer gathering in Camden, SC on August 27th.
