I had a plate of sweetbreads today at a wonderful Mexican restuarant in San Antonio, TX. Pretty awesome, although my sweet wife didn't like.

There used to be a restaraunt in Memphis, Tn called Dundees. It served buffalo, snake, octopus, alligator, ostrich and a whole menu full of what was exotic food at the time. It went out of business mostly due to the fact that everyone couldnt fathom the idea of broadening their horizons. It stayed about 2/3 empty all the time and the bad part is that everything on the menu was great. I really miss it, it was great for those special occasions.
