Strange but Yummy

So TN, what kinds of things do you eat that you think (or other people might think) sounds absolutely disgusting, but tastes oh so yummy when combined? It can be anything that you or someone you know likes to eat, and don't be afraid! We're all friends here!

My favorite thing to eat when I want something easy and filling yet not TOO unhealthy is canned tunafish, lowfat miracle whip, one chopped up dill pickle, and a bit of onion. . And then I put it on wheat crackers.

For my fiance, I'd have to say the strangest thing he eats is french style green beans with litehouse chunky blue cheese dressing and crushed up cheezits. I can't imagine eating it, I hate green beans more than anything, but then again I'm not sure how he feels about my tuna and crackers concotion either.

Another strange thing comes from my mother... Who absolutely loves mixing a scoup of peanut butter with karo syrup and chowing down. It always made me hurl and to this day just catching a whiff of peanut butter and syrup turns my stomach.

So come on, I know everyone's got something odd they find tastey, give us a share!

Hey OG, great thread! :)

I'm hoping we'll get some moms tell us some of their weird cravings,
they had when they were expecting.

I used to keep a packet of plain choc biscuits and some crisps handy
for the odd nocturnal emergency, and discovered that the crisps were
better strait after the chocolate biscuits.

Love chocolate, but don't like choc spread on bread.
Love cheese and mustard pickle sandwiches, or cheese and raw onion,
but that's not strange, is it?

OH! .... and I really HATE anchovies !!!! :)
Going a little bit off topic,

Once, while making a ham and cheese omelet, I randomly added some asparagus spears. It was actually quite tasty.
One of my aunts once had me try sauerkraut with brown gravy.

- Scrapple. It really is good with table (not maple) syrup and either scrambled eggs or potato cakes. (it's a PA Dutch product using what's left of a hog after the finer cuts are butchered. Rumor has it that if you put it in the microwave long enough, all that would be left is hair and bone fragments, but I don't want to ruin a lifelong treat by proving it to myself) -Dip your fork into a bit of peanut butter before taking a bite of buttermilk pancakes. Yum.

It actually has all parts left over such as snout, ear, etc. I couldn't bring myself to taste it after we met some PA friends at Rock Haven in TN.

Strange to some but to me, dark chocolate and cabernet is good.
