Long Island Sound Nude Sailing

Anyone else out there enjoying sailing on the sound?
Have had some pretty nice sails this season so far.

Seem to have nice light breeze most weekends. Quite a difference from the windy springtime.

A fellow nudist and I did an all night drive from here in Indiana 3 years ago and were out sailing by late morning out of New London CT. We were nude shortly after clearing the river. Our sailing styles differed a bit , well more like night and day. But we lived to tell about it . I was the one who nodded off at the wheel on the long drive home. Thanks for rumble strips. Memorable 4 days

So good to hear Im not the only one doing nude sails. Got a nice southwesterly breeze today on LIS.

Not a lot of breeze this weekend, drifting along just outside the sound.

I usually sail during the week - too many people out there weekends . 5-10 kts is perfect for me.

Weekends have been busy. As long as I can avoid a race course being around other boats is fine although I would prefer weekdays with open water.

I lived, until 5 years ago, on Long Island's North Fork, on the Sound. How I miss it and summers, especially. While I was more of a power boat enthusiast/owner, from about age 13 on I used to take our Sunfish for day trips between Mattituck and Greenport, keeping offshore and keeping nude as much as possible. Then in the mid-1980s I met friends whose parents had a 32 ft Fulmar (?) and crewed a couple of times on cross Sound trips, skinny dipping by night and working on our all-over tans by day. I even took one trip with them to Block Island. Those were the days. I'm certainly envious of you who are still enjoying nude times sailing on the Sound.

We just bought a new to us , 43ft sail boat. We will be moored in New London come spring and hope to be out often . Very much looking forward to next summer. Hope to see some of you out in the sound and surrounding area.
