Naturism spiritually 'explained'

Why do naturists enjoy being naked?
Besides the fact that it feels nice physically to feel sun and wind on your body where it is usually covered with cloths
And besides the fact that we were born this way and we all look the same anyway, there should be no shame or judgement
Being naked gives naturists a sense of freedom because of another
reason. A quieter mind. All that happiness is, whenever you feel good,
this is because your mind is quiet. The less thoughts, the happier and
more free you feel.
Others will have a quieter mind when they see a painting or picture
they like. Or when they here a particular piece of music. Our ego then
says that its that painting or piece of music that makes him/her happy,
but this is not true.
The nice thing you saw, heard, felt or tasted was something you wanted and when you have it,
the mind is no longer into searching for it and quiets down. And the
quieting of the mind is what makes you feel happy. You actually
experience your real Self. Your real Self is always
there of course, except most of the time it is covered up by many many
thoughts. Thought about the past, the future, things we should do,
things we want to have.
For the naturist, being naked feels very nice. When a naturist is
naked, the wanting falls away and the mind is quiet. Therefore being
among other naturists feels very harmonious and peaceful, because all
their minds are quieter. We accept each other as we are and look like.
Nothing to hide (at least physical), no judgement, no shame. Judgement
and shame are just thoughts, which cover up the perfect natural state of
happiness that we are.
I am not religious, but think about this one: Adam and Eve where
naked in the garden of eden until they started to want, no longer
happy with what they had, thoughts came in.
It is not necessary to be naked to feel happy (although it will feel
that way to many naturists). This is the trap. That we think we need
that thing or experience to feel happy. The challenge is to feel free
and happy whenever, where ever, because you are able to live in the
moment and quiet the mind whenever you please. You dont need that
painting, music, car or sex, drugs and alcohol to be happy. Being happy
is being yourself. And you experience your Self when your mind is quiet.
In the meantime ... enjoy being naked!!!!!

Twinpine, this a great post! Thank you for it. It too bad that most people in my country do not have the view of nudity.

beautiful post

beautiful post twinpine - there is a sense of meditation and emancipation all at once, wandering free - you feel closer to nature. This is how I felt wandering in forest paths and beaches [or between beaches where it is kosher to do so].
